Do it right, or don’t do it at all.

Blossom Ragdolls is a labor of love, started in 2005, specifically to give back to the treasured blue-eyed pointed Ragdoll cat that had already done the giving to me for 20 years. The Ragdoll cat is everything to me.

My introduction to the Ragdoll breed at my age of 21 was with a beautiful, mismarked blue bicolor, mixed Ragdoll that I appropriately named Necessity. “Cessity” lived to be 21 years old, which took her through my 30’s & into my 40’s, single to married, she saw it all. We felt joined at the heart and as she grew in age, I began to research the Ragdoll breed. After Necessity, I acquired registered Ragdolls as my altered pets, and this took me to 2005, to age 46. Up to this time, I made my life in dressage riding, teaching, training & carriage horses: managing my own equestrian center & downtown Dallas horse carriages. I realized that with my love of the Ragdoll breed & strong work ethic, I would be a benefit to the Ragdoll breed. So, I made the important decision to begin Blossom Ragdolls in 2005. The Ragdoll breed is everything to me, and I am committed to serving my Ragdoll community in every way that I can use my experience & talents. My dedicated horse life with 30 years of riding coaches, including the Hungarian Olympic Coach, gave me a strong foundation & education in animal structure. I came into breeding knowing Ragdolls, animal structure and the purpose of a breed standard. I quickly got busy in Ragdolls to learn, educate and volunteer my time. Now as Blossom Ragdolls for 18 years and counting, I work hard with my cats & kittens and mentor in breeding & showing that I love so much. I am constantly learning & growing in Blossom Ragdolls.

We do highly selective breeding & focus on health first. Equally important, we are also highly attentive to proper structure & sweet temperament, correct Ragdoll conformation & type. See this link for the TICA Ragdoll Standard & breed information: Browse All Breeds (tica.org)

Our parent cats are DNA tested with Optimal Selection for over 40 feline diseases, including HCM. The Ragdoll breed is very blessed to have this DNA test to help prevent HCM, not all breeds have this test. See the Optimal Selection link to see this list of DNA testing:
